Family Time

April 11, 2021

Back when I was a fledgling photographer, I would see older photographers who took tons of photos of their kids and was jealous. I remember so desperately needing people to photograph to make work and develop my style, but I wasn’t having much luck finding people beyond the weirdos on Model Mayhem and Craigslist.

Having kids and a wife is like having models wherever you go, you just pick up the camera and take aim. It’s sick. I’ve been pretty busy with teaching the last month but I’ll always find some time to take some photos of my little family and the things we do around the house or places we travel together. It’s stuff like this that I’ll treasure most as Logan grows older.

Hanging with Grandma and Carter
Beach Bab(i)es
He starting making much more expressive faces during Spring Break
Crawling up my leg
Maya takes some swings at her 6th bday party
The moment Carlita overcommitted and fell but also broke the piñata.
The piñata broke but it wasn’t broken, so Leo knew just what to do for the kids.
First time on a swing. Definitely overtired and underwhelmed.

Boys Trip to San O

August 28, 2018

A couple of weeks ago, Tony invited me to a good old fashioned boys trip out to San O. With my bag of hurriedly packed clothes from the night before, I set out south as soon as the school bell rang in Orange. With nothing but my duffle and two cases of beer, I pulled […]

Almaguer Fiesta

Last weekend, Cory threw a bday party for Angela at his smash pad on Dawson. It had all the makings of a good time. The booze was flowing, the mariachis were loud and the tacos were fire. Instead of getting a car when she turned 16, her Dad made her wait until 31. He cruised […]
