November Was a Blur

November 27, 2022

Back in September, Caitlyn bought us Knott’s annual passes for 2023. Part of the deal is that you get the remainder of 2022 for free. They definitely came in clutch for the month of November as we went like 4 or 5 times. The more I go to Knott’s, the more I respect it. Instead of competing with Disneyland on creating new, they are embracing their past and celebrating their heritage. Sure, the rides are less flashy and the whole place kinda feels like a permanent world’s fair but the whole Knott’s experience has a rustic charm that Disney lost a long time. Factor all that in with the cost of admission and the insane deal with the food pass, and Knott’s is a real winner for a cheap family outing.

Fast forward to after Thanksgiving and it’s my Dad’s birthday. This year, my parents rented two lanes at a local bowling alley and invited the Fry’s. For the month, I really didn’t use my camera all that often so I figured, I’d bring an external flash and take some photos. Much like 2022, November came and went before you realized it and suddenly it was the next month. I hope to take more photos in the near future in 2023.

More and more, I find myself feeling a little older and a little wiser. With the holidays behind us and new year ahead, I’ve had a chance to look back at the year and came up with a few thoughts on life.

Christmas Is Already in the Rearview

December 26, 2022

Life since having Miles has been a little hectic. I’d say that the majority of people I talked to prior to having a second kid told me that that jump from 1 to 2 kids was nothing compared to the jump from 0-1. For a variety of reasons, I disagree. The simplest way parallel I […]

2020 Retrospective

December 1, 2020

January 2020 started with such promise. Caitlyn was four and a half months pregnant. We headed to Hawaii on a cruise before it was time for me to go back to the second semester of school. Meanwhile, I had just decided to go back to school to get my Art credential and Masters. I took […]
